July 4th Celebration at The Florida Aquarium
Beat the Florida heat with indoor fun for the whole family. There's no better place in Tampa Bay to escape the sweltering summer sun. Get inches away from amazing sea creatures from all over the world including Sand Tiger Sharks, Leafy Sea Dragons, penguins and much more. After you've seen everything inside, your kids can splash around at the Aquarium's two-acre outdoor water adventure park, Explore A Shore. It comes complete with flowing fountains, slippery slides, gushing water geysers, giant sea creature figures and a two-story pirate ship filled with huge water cannons. So bring a bathing suit.
General Admission rates apply 9:30am - 5:00pm.
July 4th Extended Hours Discounted Admission 5:00pm to 9:30pm
See dazzling displays in the sky and sea this July 4th at The Florida Aquarium! Get in for only $15 after 5:00p.m. and watch the fireworks over the channel. Fireworks will take place at 9 p.m. and we will extend our hours to 9:30 p.m. There will be fun, family-friendly entertainment, all-American themed dinner options and patriotic goodies available to purchase for the kids. We invite you to bring the whole family to soak up the fun and have a blast!
$15 after 5:00pm admission price is for all ages. Tickets can also be purchased at The Florida Aquarium's ticket booth on July 4th starting at 5:00pm.
Fireworks and Sunset Cruise Aboard Ecotour Boat
7:30pm to 9:30pm
This Fourth of July, join us for a unique experience and the best seats in the house for the fireworks spectacular over the Channel from The Florida Aquarium's Ecotour boat! This 72-foot catamaran departs the Aquarium at 7:30pm for an intimate sunset cruise and returns to the Channel for the most amazing view of fireworks boat side!
Boat Cruise tickets:
$60 for general admission (adult and child)
$55 for Aquarium Members (adult and child)
Please note: The cruise is weather permitting. Limited tickets available. Tickets include admission to the Aquarium, one drink ticket and hors D'oeuvres on the cruise. Tickets are non-refundable unless the cruise is canceled due to weather. Fireworks are scheduled to take place, weather permitting, at 9 p.m. We will extend our hours to 9:30 p.m. for viewing. Explore A Shore water features will be operating until sunset.
All-American Picnic
5:00pm - 8:00pm
Dine with us this Fourth of July at our All-American Picnic in our Sea Star Pavilion. The menu will include hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, baked beans, potato salad, watermelon, cookies, ice tea and lemonade.

Red, White & Zoo Week

July 1st - 7th is Free Admission for Military!
In honor of Independence Day, members of the military and up to three direct dependents are invited to visit the Zoo for free on July 1 - 7. Free admission applies to active duty military, reservists or members of the Guard with a valid military I.D. and up to three direct dependents.
Military member must accompany dependents. Free tickets must be the lesser value if more than three dependents in attendance. Not valid with any other discounts or offers.

Visiting your local Zoo is a great American tradition. On July 1st, the Zoo will honor its guests with additional fun-filled family activities inspired by our mission "to connect people with the Living Earth."
Visitors can play the "A to Z Scavenger Hunt Challenge." Completed scavenger hunt forms will be entered into a drawing to win:
a 37" LCD HDTV from Buddy's Home Furnishings and;
a special gift from Verizon Fios.

The History Center celebrates Independence Day by offering free admission and extended hours on July 4. Stick around in the museum's atrium for an air-conditioned view of the Channelside fireworks.
